The clean and simple challenge today was to take inspiration from a black and white bathing suit.
I took the challenge literally *laughing* and made my own suit! Yep, the figure you see was made by creating an hour glass shape with Adobe Illustrator on the computer. Here's the recipe:
1. I punched 4 scalloped half circles with an EK Success punch then layered them (to represent the ruffles). Then I took the smallest circle die from my Nestabilities and placed it where I wanted the neck opening and ran it through my Cuttlebug - wallah, a neckline!
2. I placed my homemade figure template over a piece of black card stock and trimmed. Then I placed my ruffled layers on top of the black bathing suit figure and trimmed again.
3. I used a very small punch for the leg openings, then trimmed them out a little bit more and angled one to give the appearance of the leg in a different position.
You can decide whether you'd like the Mini Dolly Circle to a sun or a sun hat - it works either way I think. I placed a white button on top for a little more interest.
The beach scene punch is also from EK Success. I did use a little bling. It is a string of pearl and black rhinestones that did not show up well in the photograph even though I used a light tent this evening.
The sentiment stamps are from a set I bought when I first started stamping and I'm sorry I don't know who made them.
That's it! I absolutely adored this challenge and love the results of my homemade bathing suit. Just wish I had a figure like the model in the inspiration photo!

This card is so creative and fun. Great idea to make your own bathing suit...so resourceful. I love the border you added and the top doily with the button is so eye-catching. Thanks for joining our B & W challenge at Stamp N Plus.
