I wanted to make a grad card for my son to match the school colors and sorts. I saw this one somewhere in the grad files here , so If I happened to copy one of yours let me know as I forget where I had once seen one like it and I am sorry.
their colors are blue and white, but found out after the ceremonies they got gold tassles, so close...:0). For the fancy grad dinner dance my son wore a deep purple shirt and a (beleive it or not)..lol...a purplish flintstone tie..lol...so had to make a purple tie for fun..lol. Just tied a know near the end and it worked....whew...lol.
The tassle I just cut a few strands of that elasticy string, folded them in half and wrapped another string around the end and glued it on, and then used a brad on the hat and set it on there. did not have any blue brads so used a marker and colored it. Cut the layers of papers and crossed them in that angle and trimmed it straight and cut that little slit and folded the corners over for the neck.
then just finished it off with the school letters and year and embossed them for a keepsake. Was quite fun as well...Thanks for visiting...:0)

How wonderfully personal! He must have been touched to see the details in this from his mama's hands. Lymi
