I had been looking for some fun b.b.q ideas on google and in splitcoast for holding a gift card for my hubby. there were a few I saw with templates and things and my printer is not working so I just thought I could make on e like our own b.b.q. Don't quite ask me how I got there tho....lolol....
At my wedding years ago I had made little gift boxes for goodies so did half ones with now tops, for the bottom and cut the slats out for the doors adn added 2 brads for the handles.
then did a bigger box for the next layer, added 3 gems for the knobs, and the top kind of drew half an oval and cut little slits along the edge to fold it over a touch to have it a space to glue it onto the rounded top part. folded little squares for the 2 trays and glued them onto the side and then added 2 toothpick borke off to stick out for the handle and glue another part of a toothpick onto the 2l bits and added a drop of glitter glue for the bolts to hold the handle on and added the glitter glue for the rings on the burner. Made the little tools with toothpicks as well and added the backside of gems for the silver.
Was a lot of trial and errors and prolbably easier way to do it so dont follow mine...lol...but was fun...thanks for looking. Hubby laughed and like d the gift card inside so was worth it...:0)
