Phew.....what a day it's been....the kind of day when you're 100% emotionally drained and you just feel like crawling back into bed. Well, the show must go on so crawling back into bed just isn't an option. Instead I coped by locking myself away in my quiet place for a bit of "therapy". So, I grabbed the closest supplies I had and came up with this monochromatic masculine card for today's Man-Up challenge and the Queen for a Day challenge which honors my dear friend Cathy. I chose this gem of hers as my inspiration: SC384 God's Wonders by cathymac at Splitcoaststampers
Alas, the family does need fed before VBS tonight so this is it for me for today, but it sure felt nice while it lasted ;).
Thanks for looking!

I love the vintage look of your card. Especially the distressed edges and use of the cork strips. Very nice!

I'm glad you got to make a card Korin. Your card is very handsome and lovely at the same time!! Hopefully tomorrow will not be as crazy as today was for you.
Aaah! Sound like you are super busy! But I'm sure you'll agree VBS is a worthy cause. Ours isn't until August, and it's going to be an all day SAt. event. Anyway, stamping is my therapy too. I love just going into my room and creating. sometimes I feel guilty about taking "me" time, but we all need it! Your card is perfect for today's challenge. I love the old news print and the truck. Perfect for the guys. I remember my Dad once helpe take apart an old house that had news papers in it for insulation and we all enjoyed reading them for hours. Your card is really great! So I've written so much!
I adore this card. I love that truck and really need to buy that set. I like the sepia tone of the ink and the paper. Lovely. I prayed that you get through the rest of the day and feel better.
