I love to salvage small art or needlework from Goodwill. I think of the person who created it and wonder if they got rid of it or the person they made it for did. I thought this little felt creation was pretty cute and for 99 cents, I couldn't go wrong. It was in a frame and when I removed the frame, I could see the outline of where the frame had been. It's pretty faint; I thought about resizing it but it was pretty firmly stuck to its cardboard and plus, it's part of the history. I had this awesome button from my grandma or mother and thought this was a great accessory to the needlework. I'll probably give this to my sister for her birthday; she appreciates needlework.

This is wonderful and I love your reasoning to re-purpose this amazing needlework. It always makes me sad when I see something like that at Goodwill for both the reasons you gave or because nobody cared about the small items the stitcher had put her heart into. Good on you!! By the way that button is gorgeous.

Wow, how fantastic. I just love that you found this little creation and repurposed it! And I agree there are too many people who don't see the effort put into something hand made and just discard it.

A VERY special card to give your sister...especially with the button from your grandmother. The felt bouquet is beautiful....and what creativity on your part to reinvent it in this lovely way.
