I created a basket using my dear and talented friend Grace's basket tutorial found here . I altered it a bit, however, since I wanted to make it look woven. I cut 20 strips of kraft paper into 1/4 an 3/8 inch strips, distressing all the sides of each strip with Tim Holtz Vintage Distressed Ink. I then alternated the 1/4 and 3/8 strips (horizontally) around the box I created. After I had gone to the top with horizontal strips all around the edge, I wove the strips (alternating the 1/4 inch and 3/8 strips) and snipped them to the height of the basket.
The tag on the box is created with classic ovals and Ribbon Tags Trio Three from Spellbinders.
The ribbon is a small spool of pink gingham which I have been hoarding. The basket image is from the Thank You Sentiments stamp set available at Our Daily Bread Designs.
