Each month, Our Daily Bread Designs hosts a challenge at Operation Write Home*. This month, their challenge for us is a shaped card. For every 25 cards we post, ODBD will donate the shipping of one box of cards to our heroes. Please help us meet our goal of at least 50 cards by making your shaped card and posting it http://operationwritehome.org/our-da...une-challenge/.
I recently made a shaped card using Spellbinders (you can see it here Shaped Card by ebparker at Splitcoaststampers) so I wanted to try something different for this shaped card. UghÂ…. I always have these great ideas that turn into a nightmare. I used Tim Holtz Alterations brackets for this card, which means I had to make sure I matched up the sides and the top/bottom because I had to cut one edge at a time. Add to that, I made the card base in the same shape except the top folded over. So the base for the decorative piece had to match how I cut out the actual cardÂ…Â…Â…. I wonÂ’t be making another one of these any time soon LOL. And, I am sure I probably made this harder than it should have been, but that is how I roll.
