I was looking through BeckyTE's wonderful gallery as she is Queen for the Day this week and I wanted to play along with the challenge. I was also trying to come up with an idea for a Father's Day card. I saw this card of Becky's:
and thought a card with the Nature Walk bird on it would be perfect for my father as he feeds the birds in his yard and loves watching them.
I made my version more masculine and more CAS, but kept the idea of the bird on a branch in an oval. I changed the dp (and only used one dp) and instead of having the bird sitting on an image of a branch, my bird is sitting on an embossed branch. I didn't colour in my bird the way Becky did and I added a black pearl for its eye. I kept Becky's twine, but used it differently and put my sentiment outside of the oval.
Congratulations, Becky! A well-deserved honour!

A beautiful card, Susan. I do love a bird image and this Nature Walk bird is my favorite. Your decision to use it for a masculine card became a card winner. I do love the script bg and the embossed layer for the bird. The twine just adds to the masculinity. Thanks for honoring me with this card.
