Here is my card for today's Ways to Use It Challenge WT376 It's Not Easy...Being GREEN! Green is my favorite color and I use it quite often in my cards, so this was a fun one for me. I have a love-hate relationship with bamboo! There is a large stand of bamboo in the yard behind our house and they make a gorgeous backdrop for our landscape, but they are loud. Between the birds chirping and the bamboo singing, there is quite the cacophony of sound! I was talking to my friend the other morning, complaining about my early morning wake-up call and she said that she loves bamboo and the early mornings wouldn't bother her a bit, so that was the inspiration for this card which I will be sending to her. I wish I could send her some of the noise too, lol! Anyway, for my card I inked my stamp first in VersaMark, then in Kiwi Kiss, stamped then embossed with clear embossing powder. While still warm, I dusted on Spring Green Pearl Ex, reheating different areas and applying more Pearl Ex to achieve desired effect.

Lovely peaceful card! And thanks for explaining how you did it with the Pearl Ex - I will have to try that. I too have bamboo in my yard and I love the sound of it rustling in the wind.

So gorgeous! I love how you used the pearl ex! I have a jar of that on my shelf that I have never really known what to do with it! I will definitely have to try your beautiful technique!

I love bamboo too - my worry would be more about how it spreads, so I've never had more than enough to grow in a large pot. I think this is a beautiful card and I can imagine how lovely the shimmer is. There's something about bamboos that lends itself to that , I quite often use Perfect Pearls on my stamp.

I love how soft this card looks.
