My husband bought me some Tim Holtz dp for Christmas along with one of his stamp sets. I have to tell you, I have a hard time using the dp. It's so different from my normal cards, but I digged in and did it. I think he will like it.
The image and musical notes were from the Tim Holtz dp called Paper Stash Kraft Resist. There are musical notes on the left side that can barely be seen and throughout the bird image. My husband was in the school bands and loves music, so I thought he would like this.
I black embossed a quote from the Tim Holtz stamp set called Visual Artistry. Added a Tim Holtz fanciful button surrounded by leaves, added black metal dots and a Father's Day sentiment. The quote and sentiment were popped up on dimensionals.
The shiny parts of the dp were already there as resist embossing was part of the dp design.
Thanks for taking a look. One more Father's Day card and 1 more masculine b/day card and then I can get back to my favorite girlie flowery look.

Pam,
I really, really like this card you made for your husband - and I bet he likes it too! The DP is really awesome, as is the image and sentiment. I like the layout and earth tones. Pretty (or should I say attractive - as it is a guy card) - and elegant!

This is super cool, Pamzi! It looks like that DP *would* be a challenge to use, but I think you aced it on this card. It's perfect! That's a great sentiment, too.
