For my card, I wanted to create a little dusk scene. Using a Post-It note, I cut a circle mask for the moon. I brayered the following dye inks onto a piece of X-Press It cardstock: Adirondack Cloudy Blue, Vivid Sky Blue, and Distress Ink Faded Jeans. I sponged Adirondack Pink Sherbert along the bottom of the cardstock so very lightly. Then, removing the circle mask, I sponged SeaShells Conch Shell and Adirondack Sunshine Yellow dye inks.
With a Memento Tuxedo Black marker, I drew a branch into my scene and colored it with Copic markers. I then stamped Repeat Impressions "My Sunshine" onto a scrap piece of X-Press It paper with Marvy Black dye two times. I only colored the leaves on this image with Copic markers and cut them out with my Cutter-bee scissors. I placed these leaves onto the branch.
Finally, I took Repeat Impressions "Baby Owl" and stamped it with Marvy Black dye ink onto a scrap of X-Press it cardstock. I colored it with Copic markers, cut around the image, and placed the adorable little critter onto the branch. He seems taken with the full moon, don't you think?
For some finishing touches, I paper pierced around the scene, faux stitched with a colored pencil, and framed the scene with black cardstock. I added a few stars with a white Uni-ball Signo pen. A sheer blue ribbon was added to complete the card.
This card meets the current TLC378 challenge.
As always, thank you for a great challenge and thanks for looking!
