Joan, I sure do LOVE to see cards with the brayering technique!!! Unfortunately, I don't have a brayer, yet. But it is going on the list!!! Thank you for letting us know how we could play along too!
I used chalks and inks to try to get the effect of brayering. Then I stamped and stamped and stamped some more to make it seem like a field filled with grasses and flowers. I didn't even have a sentiment I thought would go with this (I feel like I didn't study for the test...so unprepared!) so I found this lovely quote by Emerson and printed it out on the computer.
Again, thank you Joan!!! And thank you for stopping by to take a peek!

OMG!!!! You have created a real beauty....what gorgeous colors, sponging, chalks, and stamping!!!! I am sooo happy that you gave this a try...who needs a brayer when you can achieve something as lovely as this without one!!!!

Such vibrant colors on this Kathleen...your sky is so pretty with the purple layer on top and I love the gorgeous field of flowers that goes all the way from turquoise to yellow to green and shades in between! Fabulous quote..I did not know that one but I really like it. It's ok to start out without a clear plan in place..I do it a lot! Look where it took you today!
