Dad's decision to retire from the navy (shortly after I was born) and move the family here meant that I had a stable childhood here in Oregon, without the upheaval and rigors that military families faced. The anchor represents Christ, surely, but also my steadfast dad.
Timely. As Memorial Day approaches, we all must remember and honor our military and their families.

Oh I LOVE this card so VERY much! The blue distress ink in the oval just seems so perfect! What a wonderful testimony to Christ and honor for your father. I am retired from the Navy too. (I was a Hospital Corpsman). Would you mind telling me what ODBD stands for? I just might have to get that wonderful stamp! I am so glad you made this very special card and shared it tonight!!!
