Charlene's challenge over at the CCEE Stampers this week was to use vellum and either heat emboss or dry emboss it. I love the way dry-embossing it looks, so that was an easy choice. I'm glad I made this card early, though - originally it wasn't stitched and didn't have the little blue vellum flakes, but after looking at for a a couple of days I thought it needed ramping up a bit.
A2 blue base. I dry embossed some vellum with Snowflakes, tore the edges and sponged them with Chipped Sapphire, then stitched this to the card base.
Sister Stamps Shimo-San stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine Black, coloured with distress inks: Antique Linen, Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Tattered Rose, Dusty Concord, Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint and Soot Black, I cut it out and attached it to the base, then added AppleGlue for snow.
The Lots of Thoughts sentiment was punched out and added with a little gem. To finish I added the blue vellum snowflakes with a dot of Liquid Pearls in the centre of each.
