When I saw today's challenge to make a birthday card for a little boy. There were several thoughts that went through my head. #1. Little boys won't really appreciate lots of layers, so keep it simple. #2. Little boys will look at a card for a couple of mins at best and then throw it away or never look at it again, so I wanted part of the cad to be something that could be used, hence the bookmark. I used elements from a retired Mark's Finest Papers set along with a current Mark's Finest Papers set called Train Talk. The birthday sentiment is from the Mark's Finest Papers set called Lighthouses. The blue and white dp reminded me of the little train engineer overalls that my son wore when he was little.

Very cool, MariLynn! Actually, the two elements from the retired set are also in a mini set called On Track. I used them on a card last week. I think the book mark idea was brilliant!
