This is for several challenges - I have a lot to make up since I've been gone so long. I was inspired by two pieces at the Greenheart website: the Felted Wool Flower Brooch and the Cotton Fair Trade Oven Mitt. For the Cas-ual Friday challenge CFC48 we were to pick colors opposite each other on the color wheel. I picked purple and yellow. The C4C132 challenge is to use buttons and the layout I used is this week's FTL186 from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog.
I used my Cuttlebug blossom dies and felt to create the "felted flower brooches" and sewed then together with thread and buttons. I used a Sizzix embossing folder to get the quilted look of the oven mitt. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.
