This week Hannah challenged us to use ruffles for the Ways to Use It challenge #370. Well, one look at this card and you can tell that I was feeling the need to address the estrogen deficiency in our house! This is waaaay more stuff than I usually put on a card, but since yesterday's sketch challenge I've felt ready to try some new things. I put every girly kind of thing I owned on this card, from the Gibson Girl stamp to the ribbon and lace to the jeweled hatpin. This was my first attempt at making ruffled ribbon on a card, and I'm happy to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I even made a 'ruffled' flower with punched scalloped circles that I misted and scrunched. The Gibson gal was stamped three times; once on the oval, and twice on patterned paper which I cut out and glued on for her shirt and skirt.
DH just saw this and all he could say was, "Whoah." Heh heh, I guess I've channeled a bit of gal power here!
