Anyone who has ever suffered from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), or any other life threatening illness, knows the importance of eating a strict diet and monitoring the results of routine blood tests. My mom was recently diagnosed with CKD and had to quickly learn about the renal diet and her special needs. This is an informational book and journal I made for her to keep all of her notes about her treatment plan organized. The first section of the book has vital information she needs to know about her disease. The information was taken from credible sources including the National Kidney Foundation. It includes nutritional guides about various Good and Bad foods as well as shopping lists and helpful eating tips. The second section contains pages for her to record the results of her routine blood tests and any recommended changes prescribed by her doctors. The final section has blank pages for her to put any notes she wants, kidney friendly recipes, etc. Nearly all of the pages include sweet but subtle stamped images that coordinate with the books theme which is “All the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of today” meaning, for this purpose, how you feel tomorrow directly relates to what you eat today.
Wishing you all good health!! TFL
