This week's Featured Stamper is Ali aka Albongo – what a beautiful clean style! I chose this holiday card with a pop of red on white and kept it very CAS: Ali's Card
Like Ali, I went with a red image but used a colored bird instead of a flower. I also used an embossed background, embossing and scoring the top and bottom of the panel and leaving a clear space for the sentiment, but adding stitching. This is also April’s entry for the Dirty Dozen Alumni Christmas challenge – Stacy has us using birds this month. Anyone can play in this challenge, if you’d like to get ahead on your Christmas cards and have some fun, use key word SCSCCAPR12 so we can see your creations.
I donÂ’t think there are any cardinals here, no one seems to have ever seen one, and I donÂ’t even own a cardinal stamp, but I carefully inked this Martha Stewart bird image so that I could draw in the cardinalÂ’s crest. ItÂ’s colored with copics and popped up.

This is the top bird on my list of birds I want to see IRL, we too don't have them here on the west coast. Absolutely Gorgeous, Bridget!!
Though I do have to say, I've had a European Goldfinch visit for a couple of months 2 years ago, what a treat!
Bridget this card is beautiful. You did a great job turning this into a cardinal.
I live in the country and have a big yard. Front and back is somewhere around 2-3 acres. I have 13 trees in the yard. Well I feed the birds and especially the cardinals and because of that I have so many pairs. They are always beautiful but when there is snow on the ground and you see that bright red against the white...Wow! So I love them, can you tell?!

Your cardinal is beautiful, Bridget! I love the embossing and stitching and your coloring is gorgeous. No cardinals? I love the cardinals and we have so many here...year round.
