Catching up on this week's challenges - here is a card for the CAS164 "Spotlighting" challenge. This was a good challenge for me as I'd never tried spotlighting.
It was hard to choose a stamp for it but went with this one as there was a good central flower to spotlight. And I couldn't decide if I liked the "spotlight" bit to be bordered in black or just mounted on its own. I went with the border this time. I also used a lighter black ink for my original image, and then for the bit I coloured, I used a darker brighter black to help it stand out.

Susan, this is beautiful!!! I am not usually a fan of the spotlight technique because I think it looks odd, but this one really works! The delicate colors and the CAS design are just great!

Susan, your spotlighted card turned out beautifully. I agree....the hardest part was choosing a stamp that would spotlight well. I finally got my card done today.
