This is a dps I created for Michele's Childhood Games VSBN challenge (LeapVSBN05). We had to create a page using a favorite childhood game to inspire us. I immediately thought of "Statues" tag, because we had recently been to the Arabian Horse Show in Scottsdale where we saw many beautiful bronze statues which my DH absolutely loved.
Journaling: "When I discovered that the last day of the Arabian Horse Show in Scottsdale was one of the days you girls would be staying with us, Pop Pop & I decided to take you there. Pop Pop used to own and train Arabian horses for many years, and used to go to the show every year, even before he moved to Arizona. The weather was beautiful and we just walked around seeing different groups of horses being shown and being readied for show. We got to go into one of the barns and see several horses close-up in their stalls , which was fun. We had lunch while watching a group of horse & buggies parade around one of the arenas being judged. They also had exhibit tents and shops containing everything from beautiful saddles, jewelry, clothing to many beautiful sculptures of horses and horse-related subjects. Pop Pop enjoyed getting a chance to spend some time at the show, and we hope your girls did too. If so, maybe we can go back next year and see some of things we missed this visit."

I loved that game! I can't believe the games I forgot about and people are thinking of! Great page for it too! Great inspired page, Wendy. I like how you framed the date, and in fact how you framed the photos!

WoW Great photos and layout. Love the western flavor of this and the neat arrangement of the photos. Use of the wood and frames is perfect for the theme.
