Today's TeaPot challenge is to send cheer to Alix - things are looking up for her after devastating events - read about it (and feel free to join in) http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...w-t551429.html
I avoided the back door today by covering my smudge with a flower. No EPEC (extra points for extra cookies) as I could not locate Dexter for a photo op!
I used this sketch: http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.com/page/2/
This calls for bling: http://paperprettiesblog.blogspot.com/
The Friday challenge to recycle: http://frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/ (I used the silver paper liner from a can of International Coffee hazelnut - since I have a serious addiction, my supply is endless LOL!)
Lesson learned: use the die cut first, then emboss - otherwise you will have flat Swiss dots like I have!
EDIT: I forgot to mention - I scored the edges of the sentiment rectangle.

What a great idea to make a tray from recycled material. Had to laugh at your lesson learned. Oh how many times have I learned the hard way when it comes to stamping! Hope you aren't returning to Colorado this week as it is snowing after record breaking temps last week. Go figure.

LOL, I've had that moment with embossing too. Not quite the same - I've gone to the lengths of embossing the edges of a Nestabilities die, only to realise that they'd get totally smooshed when I then embossed them in a folder.
Gorgeous black paper - so elegant!
