I will do it for the water... In order to draw awareness to the situation our water is in, the Water Walk 2011, entailed people carrying a vessel of water from each of the four directions western water walk began Sunday, April 10 in Aberdeen, Washington; Wednesday, April 20, the southern water walk left Gulfport, Mississippi; Walkers from the East left Machais, Maine on Saturday, May 7; Churchill Manitoba was the beginning point for the Northern Water Walk. Water from Hudson Bay and the water walkers traveled, on Saturday May 21 by train toward the south to Winnipeg. Their route will carry the water through Manitoba, Ontario and into Minnesota and Wisconsin. They all met at Bad River Wisconsin.
There will be another Water Walk starting April 2012 around Lake Nipigon.
We each need to ask ourselves what are we going to do to protect drinking water for our children and their children to come.
