I don't know what it is, but I LOVE everything French. It's not just b/c I visited there several years ago, it's just I love it. So, you know, I love the SU En Francais b/g stamp as well as the Eiffel Tower from the SU Chic Boutique stamp set. I even found the little circular "Paris" stamp in another SU set called French Foliage.
Anyway, the basis of this whole card is on the panel with the Eiffel Towers. It is actually a tissue. My friend bought me a pack of these beautiful French tissues and they were so pretty I didn't want to use them.
I decided I would make her a card out of some of the tissue. I'm not a hot pink fan by any means, but it had some pink stars on the tissue paper, so used that for my color combo.
I've changed this here, there and everywhere and this is what I ended up with. A conglomeration of "stuff"! It got kind of out of control and my friend doesn't like "gaudy" things, but she'll have to make an exception I hope.
I used the En Francais for the side panel and the tissue for the other portion of the b/g panel. Used the Fleur De Lis Diecut and stamped with the french script. Stamped the Eiffel Tower, cut it out, popped it out and covered it with crystal effects which can't be seen on the photo. Did the same for the circular "Paris" image.
Added a flower treatment on the side using the SU 5-petal punch and some of the tissue paper inside the flower using the MS cornflower punch. Then added a little matching bling.
The whole image panel was popped up on dimensionals, added the sentiment and a large black bow with adornment. You can't see it, but I did use the fleur de lis ef on both b/g panels. See, I'm all about "French"!
Thanks for taking the time to look at all this "stuff". I hope it didn't come off looking too gaudy.

Wow - Fruitcake (I haven't used that nickname in awhile so I dusted it off), this is stunning - really - not gaudy at all - just plain pretty (well, not plain in any way really). Love that you let that pretty napkin take you away to Paris. I love every single thing on this card, and I wish I had ordered all those sets now. I didn't think I would ever use them when I saw them, but after seeing your card I wish I had them. Lovely and sweet and so much fun - just like you. Hugz Sis!!!
