Stitched together with Love is a stamp I've been wanting to use for a long, long time. And choosing a stamped image is labor intensive for me (laughing). I prefer to choose a stamp to fit the story I'd like to write about. This week the CAS challenge is "Stitching or Faux Stitching" and it gave me the opportunity to use one of the stamps from a Just Rite set I have. I have plans for this card too (smiling). My sentiment for the inside of the card, “Song in My Heart” is from Just Rite also. I going to create another card based on this design and ramp it up to enter in both the MIM0212 and Best Buds challenge. Of course I'll write a little something on my blog so I hope you’ll drop by for a visit. I don’t know about you but I can waste a morning with a cup of coffee while visiting all your beautiful blogs!
Whew, sewing on my machine is always good practice and a challenge. Could I do it? Could I sew around a circle? I had such a grip on that circle while sewing - you couldn't have pulled it out of my hand (laughing). Okay - first, I gave the white panel some texture and interest by embossing with Cuttlebugs, "Grace's Frame." Next, I cut a piece of material and laid it over some Sookwang and die cut with the standard Nestabilities scalloped circles. I stamped a smaller standard circle with Just Rite's, "Stitched Together with Love" and used the Nestabilities standard circle die to cut and emboss it. I sponged some Mellow Moss from SU around the edge to give some soft color. That outer edge acted as my guide to machine stitch around the circle. I finished by coloring the thread spool with some Prisma colored pencils, added some saddle stitch ribbon, a couple of stick pins, and the card was finished. It think I covered all the bases - how about you?

Truly beautiful! You did it!!! :-) Your stitching is perfect. This is a very pretty colour combo. Thank your for reminding of how much I love this Justrite set and that I need to pull it out and use it.
