This is the third time I've made one of these accordion fold BD cards... they're getting much faster to make and down to a methodology. First one ever was 50 candles in March of 2008, second was June 2011 with 100 candles, and this one is for Patrick, who loves music and just turned 70. I'll be making 4 more over the ensuing year as we help celebrate milestone birthdays.
2/19/12 edited: Candles are cut from card stock and sponged around the edges. The first one of these cards I ever did used scrap pieces of designer papers (posted in my gallery, March 200. I started by cutting a sheet of CS into strips then cut the strips down to length... I think they were about 1/2" wide by maybe 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 inch long.

What a labor of love (and a great idea)
I missed the previous cards... Are the candles/flames all stamped or die cut?
I have a couple of special 40th this year, I'll have to give it a try
