I HAD to try the Wrinkle Free Distress again. It was such fun and I WILL do it again. This time I didn't get so carried away trying to make my colors dark as I saw some really pretty ones in the gallery that were soft and light colored.
This time I used Ranger Distressed Spiced Marmalade and Scattered Straw - only dippped twice. Dried it and stamped the Roses Letter by Stamps Happen, Inc. with Memento Tux Black. I put part of a paper doily over the image, lace border over that and skinny ribbon on top.
The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and is tucked behind the doily, but is held on with a brad. It says,
"Life is like a roller coaster. It goes up and down, makes you scream and costs a lot to ride."
If you pull it out of the doily, it will swing and go any which way you want it to.
I made it for my friend gabalot who has not been feeling well for quite some time.

Very pretty card, Carol! Your technique looks awesome and love that you can pull out the very wonderful sentiment (and oh so true)! Your lovely card will deliver some caring wishes.

I love this card! Thank you for making it for me, Carol. I look forward to receiving it. I love those two Ranger colors and the distressed effect looks awesome. I've never seen that 1948 stamped letter image, it's cool. I like the way you used the doily and that it moves. The roller coaster life sentiment is perfect for all I've had to deal with for quite a while now. I appreciate your friendship, concern and thoughtfulness. Huggles to you. Gabby

I was feeling as if I hadn't "met" you in the gallery for a while, though I know I didn't have much time browsing over the last week or two. So I decided to come looking, and see what a beauty I found . You'll be hooked on this technique now - ever since I first tried it, I've gone back to it time and again.
