I'm always up for a challenge that uses up leftovers! Like some others here, I save those little strips that are trimmed away. Even have a special baggie I keep them in. To be honest, I made several of these strip backgrounds at least a couple of years ago and I dug one out for this challenge. For my bg, all I did was arrange the strips on a sheet of sticker paper.
The images I used on the vellum are Our Daily Bread designs. After I stamped the sea image, I colored most of the areas on the back side w/ the white Permapaque marker. I used the Tombows to add a little color on top of the white marker. The vellum panel is attached behind a frame I die cut.
The strip bg was cut and attached on an angle from corner to corner across the 6.25 x 4.50 (A6) card. It left a little space behind the vellum image so I added another piece on a different angle.
The cattails were cut out and added behind the circular sentiment. Thanks so much for looking! Closeups will be on my blog in just a sec. The Write Stuff

I love your diagonal stripes, and I put this in my favorites because I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of this fabulous set this week. I could not resist this one. Been a coastal gal all my life and with salt water in the blood, I think this is the best ocean stamp I have ever seen.
