I knew immediately that I wanted to use pink and brown as my colors.
As I started making the card with pretty in pink and choc chip, I realized the card was a little dark, so I added a layer of white. When I did that, everything seemed off scale, so I added another layer of choc chip. At first I tried to use the same border punch but it didn't align and I think it looked strange. So I then tried the scalloped border punch. I kind of messed it up too, but I didn't really want to do it over again. This card, is just a card. Not going to anyone. I will probably sell it at the next craft fair I do, so it was acceptable to me.
I couldn't find 3 of the same shade of brown brads so I opted for eyelets. They didn't line up either. I guess it's just not my day for perfection in the card making world today.
Oh well, maybe next time!
tfl and have a great day!

Dara, I think your card is fabulous. I still love that sentiment and the way it is placed between the dry embossing is very nice.

Love the touch of white and the pretty eyelet edge. I know what you mean about things lining up...can be so frustrating...my daughter said if she was going to sell cards she'd call her store The Crooked Edge

This looks fab in that pretty combo of pink and brown. You totally picked the right person to case when you talk about less than perfect alignment! Perfect is for the Hallmark store! I found myself totally relating to your described process of this card's evolution. I am not alone in my style process! ;)
