I was recently honoured to be asked to join the CCEE Stampers.
Frances was setting the challenges for January, and in honour of Australia Day today, we were to feature something related to Australia in our cards.
I had more toy koalas than I did regular teddy bears when I was little, so it was no-brainer to pull out Whipper Snapper's Kahlua.
Mind you, this card will NOT be going to Australia. I know that their Customs are very particular about not letting any organic material in, so the little wooden discs on this will be a no-no.
If you'd like to play along too you can link your Australia-themed project on the CCEE blog .
I stamped Kahlua on watercolour paper, coloured with distress inks and cut with Spellbinders Deckle Rectangles. He's popped up on foam dots on a base of corrugated card with some natural raffia tied round it.
I added some leaves from Just Beakause - I stamped them first with Forest Moss and then over-stamped them with H2Os to add the sort of gloss I associate with gum-trees. I also used some H2Os on the tree as well as distress inks. The sun is from MFT, cut from orange card, both layers embossed and then gold Stickles added.

Looks to me like a perfect Aussie card! I like the wooden discs even if they can't get into Australia. Good use of the corrugated board. Super creation.! Looking forward to working with you, Sabrina.

I don't care if they have a no-no on the wood..........I think it's a great addition to the whole card. Love the koala and that fab bg!! Well done, GF!

Great job Sabrina. I love those wooden disc that look like the end of logs. Kahlua is such a cute image and so perfect for this challenge. I like how you cut out the leaves for added dimension.
