Today's Technique Challenge asked us to be inspired by Belleek Pottery and use the inked embossing technique in our card. Wow, beautiful stuff! I loved the first picture which featured a mass of 3D flowers. I thought of vellum flowers so I decided that my bg would use a light grey ink. I didn't have an ef that I wanted to use for the card I had in mind, so I inked up a Perfect Details Texturz plate instead. I swiped it with the Going Grey ink pad then spritzed it generously with a homemade shimmer spray using white Shimmer ink. I embossed my Whisper White cs then mounted it onto a frame of Brushed Silver. I die cut and punched my flowers from a scrap piece of a vellum envelope (gotta put all that college mail my son is getting to some good use) then used my stylus to indent the centers. I added tiny pearls to the flowers and adhered them to the card. I embossed my sentiment in silver onto a spare piece of the previously prepared paper and cut it with an oval punch then mounted it onto a Designer Label punched silver piece. I added some tiny flowers to this (the tiniest flowers are scrap from the Lace Ribbon Border punch). I added a silver cord bow in the corner. I like this greeting which can be used either for a wedding or anniversary.
