Here is my card for the Inspiration challenge - Land of Nod plus today's Queen for the Day challenge - Lisa Lara and the Techique challenge - twine
This is the stuffed animal that was my inspiration hey hey they're the monkeys and here is Lisa's card CAS136 Fall Hi - I loved her layout and colour choice.
As you can see - I kept the same layout and used the kraft cardstock, plus the same sentiment. Changes I made - I used the Meljen's Monkey Toes image. I made a raised frame around the image. Added the funky spikes behind the frame. Die cut the letters and flower/spikes from the Cuttlebug Olivia die cut letters. I used crystal effects to glue the light and dark brown sentiments together for a shadowed effect and glued the sentiment to the frame. Next I wrapped the string around the frame and sentiment twice and knotted it (TLC360).
I coloured the monkey with Stampin up and Tombow markers. Masked the monkey and sponged on the grass and the clouds. Rand the one panel throught the cuttlebug using the polka dot folder. Distressed the edges and sponged colour all over the embossed panel. I sponged the frame with Vintage sepia and basic black. The frame and the embossed panels are popped up.
Thanks for looking,
Happy Saturday,
Hugs..Pat

Your card is so special. I love your image, but what you did with the frame to make it look like a monkey and it's tail is outstanding. Into my favs. tfs
