I had this idea to make a wintery scene for a masculine birthday card. Now it looks like a Christmas card to me. Actually I don't care for the card at all. Never have liked anything I sponged a background on. Just don't like my sponging. Everybody elses seems to be able to do it and look great but not me!! This will probably end up in the trash and will try to make another masculine card with the deer and no sponging! TFL

Don't throw that card away! You are being way, way to critical of your work. I thought the sky looked like a sky just before the sunset colors start, the white in it looks like high thin clouds. I loved it!

I love it too! But I know what you mean about sponging. I think it depends on the type of paper and sponge. I use a circular movement .. soft but firm and it sometimes takes going over and over it. Does that make sense? Seriously, I can feel the peacefulness of this card!
