Frances is giving the challenges this month for the CCEE Stampers. this week she asked us to make a card in honor of Jakob Grimm's birthday, he was born in 1785. Do you know what he was responsible for? If you answered, fairy tales, Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel or Hansel and Gretal, you would be right as he wrote many a fairy tale in his day. I did not have a stamp for this one, but I came up with a cute image of Hansel and Gretal. When I saw this image, it was saying vintage/shabby chic. As I have said before, this is a style that I am not comfortable with so it does not come easy for me. I chose Colorbok paper to showcase this image, made my first attempt at making a stick pin, used lace and various punches. My friend, Sue, shared this ticket with me and I thought it was perfect for this card so I grunged it up a little. I hope you like the change of style today. We would love for you to join us in the CCEE challenge. Come on over and join us- CCEE Stampers blog.

WOW, for not being "comfortable" with this shabby chic, Sis, you did a fabulous job!! Love the red papers and nesties framing out this sweet scene and the fence and flowers surrounding it along the bottom make such a pretty picture! I love that you used a stick pin and the 'old' ticket! Vintage at its best! Where did you ever find that adorable picture??
Super job and with all those challenges too! LYMI!

Sistah, you can no longer claim this is not your style-you knocked it out with your vintage shabby chic-ness. Love the floral arrangement. Delish, yeah.....

Okay, if this is not a masterpiece then I don't know what is Shirley. OMG, there's so much to gaze at and I see something new every time I do. And, that wreath array is dyno-mite! I gotta run Shirley - it was nice catchin' up!
