I wanted to make a lighthouse card for a friend from our church who has been told that he has only weeks to live. He lives near our lake and has lots of nautical items in his home (he loves Harleys and golf too, but I don't have any of those images) and I thought the lighthouse would look good in today's color challenge colors.
I inked my letterpress plate (that's my new item) with Versamark then dabbed on the grey, indigo and limeade colors and embossed a piece of Natural White paper. I inked the light house image in grey then wiped off the grey from the clouds and grass and added in the indigo and limeade. After stamping this onto the natural white cs I used a blender pen to move some of this color around then sponged on a bit more indigo and grey on the torn edges, same for the greeting. The black piece is double punched with the Designer Label. I tore the Indigo layer and sponged it too. I added some grey striped hemp and popped the oval over this.
