I have a difficult time designing sympathy cards, and even more so for men. So I took this card and created what I hope looks like a "masculine" version. I changed the image, made the card in brown tones and black. The embossing folder is SU houndstooth, and I added a large metalic brad (don't know why, but just did - I sponged around the image with SU caramel, and in person matches the background panel really well. I had to adjust the image on my scanner in order for the EF to show up and it has distorted some of the coloring.
Thanks, Christine, for the inspiration, and thanks to everyone for stopping by. Sure hope you all like it

Barbie, this is such a lovely, dignified, warm sympathy card. The colors are beautiful together, I love the embossing and the brad looks perfect. They are so difficult to make but you created a wonderful one. Thank you so much for helping make my reign so awesome!

Barb, what an elegant and beautiful design. It is PERFECT for a masculine sympathy card. Love your neutral colors and the hint of coral on the main image edges....so beautifully done.
