For yesterday's WT, I have a couple of explosion boxes in my favourites - this fabulous one by Dolly Watt has a similar winter theme.
For today's F4A - well, I know that botanically poinsettias aren't a flower, but I hope they count. I also hope to make something else, but I have quite a lot on today. This is because I've mislaid the card I made for DH, and since he's promising me something special I think I'd better come up with the goods myself. He liked the poinsettia gift tag I made for his Chris Kindle in work (Secret Santa), so I incorporated that.
Box is a 3" square cut from green Bazzill. I used the trimmings from the box to make little embedded embossed panels for the outsides, with Spellbinders poinsettia and snowflakes, and SU lattice folder, matted onto brown Bazzill.
For the inside I stamped the critters onto watercolour paper, masked and stamped Kittie Kits trees into the background with Peeled Paint, embossed them with clear EP and then sponged in the sky and a bit of foreground. Coloured the images with distress inks and added Pewter Perfect Pearls for snow. Snowy base is cream Bazzill embossed with Swiss Dots and some drifts of Flower Soft. Again all layers matted onto brown Bazzill. The tree is Spellbinders Fanciful Holiday. I cut four, scored them down the centre and glued them together. Decorated it with gems and rolled up a strip of red card for it to stand in. I fixed it to the base with hot glue, and added the little bird from the set.
Lid was cut to be 3 1/8" plus borders, which I decorated with a double scallop border cut from cream Bazzill. Poinsettia cut from Basic Grey and layered up, foliage from Bazzill. Green foliage misted with Glimmer Mist and swiped with some extra green ink.
Tag sponged with brown ink.
