I made my first star book a couple of weeks back. As always, once you've done something once the next time is easier, so this time I gussied up the pages a bit.
I also made thinner covers, and stuck a magnetic snap inside each one so they hold it open in the star shape, without needing ribbon to tie it. That meant I needed to make a belly band to hold it closed - I'd quite like to add ornate gold corners to the front, but am afraid that the belly band would catch in them. Star Book tutorial here.
I used Coredinations cardstock for the brown and blue, and Bazzill for the cream. For the front covers, instead of covering chipboard I embossed and sanded two 4x4" squares of the brown cardstock, and then stuck them to plain card for strength. Then I stuck them to the end pages of the album, inserting the magnetic snap.
I'm not uploading all the pages as the images are the same as in my previous star book and tag accordion album.

This is so Cool, Sabrina!! I love how you have made additions or subtractions to make the project easier!! The belly band is a great idea for holding it closed!!
