OK, so I'm not a stencil person. So be it. I did try. This may be the 4th try. I can't remember. I started with a piece of distressed CS that I put throught the Cuttlebug. I inked the Cuttlebug folder before running it through. Next I stenciled the candles by coloring them with copics. I added the Old French Writing last.
Well not quite last. Then I put the piece onto red CS with brads.

This card is lovely - has a very vintage feel. You say you aren't good with stencils, but it looks great. I don't even have a stencil - no, wait, I do have a set of letter stencils!

I'm sorry it took you so many tries, Carol! The candles are great with your wonderful vintage background. I know that any time I tried stencilling with paints they used to bleed under the stencil - that put me off using them altogether. I still have one I bought to decorate a press and chickened out of using.

Nice card! I like the candles in the emb "frame" w/the light script bkgd. I was never good at traditional paint stenciling so I never got near a wall! Heehee! My fav way to stencil on cards is with a die cut or a shape I draw. I use sponges or rags to fill in or around. I never made a card for this challenge but I had one planned. Maybe I will still do it some time.
