As I said in a previous upload, I am always looking for great ideas for manly cards - and this sketch of Wendy's was perfect.
I changed the colors, the image, used twine instead of ribbon. I made my own BG paper using Flourishes Map BG stamp. I then used distress inks (a light brown and a dark brown) to give it an old almost burnt effect. The ship is from SU The Open Seas set. I used COPIC markers to color the sails. I did not want them to be white but to hopefully give them an old worn out look as well.
I really like how this turned out, and it is thanks to inspiration from Wendy You need to stop by her gallery and check it out for yourself. TFL, and I hope you like it too

This is such a awesome man -card...Such a wonderful job with that bg paper, looks like an old map , maybe they are on a voyage for treasure...and could find lots with that gorgeous ship...great coloring and love your corners and that neat "treasure" on the twine...again a wonderful job...TFS, and for helping make my week...I know will see you again in these fun challenges...have a great night..:0)

What a FABULOUS masculine card, Barb. Your coloring and shading are so beautifully done. Love the shape of the central panel and the Old World map behind it.
