For today's TLC Challenge "Let's Make It Snow"-I couldn't help but join in the fun. I had this tan dp laying on my table from a previous project and it was just begging me to create this Shabby Chic creation.
This has glitter and yet more glitter-did I mention I love glitter. The deer are a Tim Holtz die. I cut them out of a cereal box and painted them white. The edges were distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then painted with glitter glue, and sprinkled with Martha Stewart coarse glitter. I did this twice on the deer. So yes, I glittered over glitter-talk about some sparkle. The snowflakes around the outside is the Tim Holtz on the edge snowflakes die-they too have Martha Stewart glitter and Vintage Photo distress ink. The Snowflakes are the large and medium Martha Stewart Snowflake punch. They have been popped on dimensional foam and little gold bells tied with crochet thread and attached to the center of the flakes. The same little bells were tied to the reindeer with sheer 1/4" ribbon. Spellbinders Mega Fancy Tags 2 was used with a sentiment from the $1 bin at Michaels.
The deer has been mounted on several layers of Spellbinders dies. The Fleur de Lis is at the bottom, followed by the scalloped oval, then the plain oval. A plastic snowflake is on top of those and then the flying reindeer.
There is so much to this card I know I haven't listed it all and I missed some. From embossing, to roses, to the foliage and corners. But it is getting past my bedtime..lol
I hope you have enjoyed your visit today. I am going to send this card to my Mom for Christmas. Thanks so much for looking!
