I've really gone crazy for these house chipboards. I made this tag to accompany the preceding card. I will be sending both to a fellow crafter that I met in the local craft store. She is a master cake maker and we struck up a conversation while waiting in line to cash out. We hit if off immediately and I have since enjoyed several conversations with her by phone.
Anyway, I used Crafty Secrets scraps and My Mind's Eye dp. The bird image was cut out with pinking shears. I love that edge. I glued a Melissa Frances frame over the bird's head and filled it with glossy accents to give the appearance that the bird was behind glass. Onto the frame I glued wings and flowers. The hearts was cut with Verve dies. The pink heart was covered in diamond dust. I cut out a triangular frame from some chipboard leftover from a dp pad. I wanted to give the roof a little more dimension. I cut out the center of the triangle and adhered two different dps onto the triangle. The dp used in the center of the triangle was embossed. Prima lace was adhered along the bottom edge. A seam binding ribbon bow was tied at the top and a length of twine was also tied to allow for hanging of the tag.
Oh, and before I added the buttons, hearts and ribbon, I carefully covered the whole tag in Mod Podge. I used the matte finish and a sponge brush. I love the brush strokes and the subtle shine it gives to the paper. Sorry that you can't see that in the photo.
Hope she likes. Hope you do, too!
