Today's Ways to Use it challenge was to take up space with a 3-D preferably punched element. Lydia's example was awesome! WT348 WT347 The Space Around Us! by Understandblue at Splitcoaststampers I had checked out a book on steampunk and was thinking about the possibility of a 3D Zeppelin. Of course, this isn't quite what I imagined but such it is! There are a lot of added bronze pieces on the steampunk art I've seen so I attempted a mix of ep to add some accents. My zeppelin was made by stamping the old world map from The Open Sea set onto a piece of Natural Ivory cs that I'd crimped then tore into two halves for a thinner cs to work with. I then punched out several ovals and layered them together and added the metal tip to each. I stamped and cut out part of the schooner and added some metal to that as well and this is the base of the Zeppelin. My gent is from a vintage image postcard and my goggles are stamped over a dictionary page. The base is some wrapping paper and I added a cityscape sticker that I'd distressed to the bottom. There are also some Vintage Wallpaper ef accents here and there.
I can't answer my kids' question "Who is that for?" but I like the card anyway!
