Love these rich, beautiful colors for the color challenge today. I used markers to ink up my image in the three colors adding some "thumping" on the bottom piece. I also added a bit more color to the house with some Cajun Craze spatter. I tore and crumpled this then layered it over a torn and crumpled Cajun Craze piece. The sentiment was inked with Crumb Cake then thumped with Cajun Craze and Tempting Turquoise and has some spatter added in Crumb Cake with a touch of Cajun Craze (guess I forgot to clean off my stamp!) I did a faux burnt edge with crumb cake and Early Espresso inks. For the challenge dessert, I popped the sentiment! I ran my bg dp through the Big Shot in my Square Lattice embossing folder and sponged the edges in Cajun Craze. I added some seam binding and hemp to the bottom. This will go into my pastor husband's stash and I can use this same layout for other Scripture verses with the lighthouse image.

Your rustic, distressed lighthouse makes me think of the wind whipping up off the lake by our Splitrock Lighthouse in MN. Your distressed bg is like the sand or rocks often at the base of such a scene..well done Gail!
