Well, we finally have power after Winter Storm Alfred dumped snow here last weekend. It's just wrong to have to shovel before you rake leaves. In my sixty years, I have never seen anything like this! The tree devastation is horrible. My husband and I have probably spent about 20 hours out there trying to bundle and haul and clear the limbs (And I only have about three trees on my lot!)
This card looks nothing like what I originally planned to do, but sometimes it happens that way. I was actually going to use the leaves from Autumn Splendor (they were embossed and sponged) but when I started to develope this scene it had a life of it's own. The leaves on the trees were made with the tip of a typewriter eraser pencil, that I cut flat. I did cheat and use some Pumpkin Pie ink to brighter up the sun just a bit.
