I'm doing a little 12 Tags of Christmas challenge on my blog with a twist - mine are Funkie Junkie style. Each week the participants take inspiration from my tag and create a holiday project with it. Their project does not need to be my shabby funky style.
Here is my piece for challenge #5. For my background, I used what is essentially Tim Holtz's Wrinkle Free distress technique using a mixture of gold Perfect Pearls, water and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Then I overlaid a portion of a square doily, distressed with the same mixture of perfect pearls, distress ink and water. The angel was stamped on a transparency, fussy cut and painted on the back with acrylic paints. The heart was double bold embossed and while the embossing was still hot, I stamped the 25 stamped and then colored it with a Copic. I was very pleased with the way this one came out. More details on my October 12 blog post at hppt://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.com.
