Our cards this week are going to Kathy - who has been going through a very sad and trying time and we hope our cards will deliver our thoughts of caring. Mothermark said we could do a mosaic, or, if not, to bring flowers. However, I went off the beaten path a bit and made a card that is beach-related in memory of Kathy's sister. I used a direct to paper technique by SCS's Understandblue (Lydia) here. I used some washed out beachy colors and a pelican - as I think they are such interesting birds, along with a Longfellow quote. I am hoping it has a nice memory for Kathy. Thanks for looking.

Kathy, I love this and your background is perfect for the pelican. I did Lydia's technique back in the summer on a card so this looked very familiar. Great job!
