Hello friends, there is a new "addict" in SCS town! Meet Margaret, who made her first card today! I wish the close up of her card was in focus, but she got away with it before I checked. Will try to get another, or maybe, if Margaret can think of her SCS name- I will help her with her first upload! And it is a doozie!
Choosing a House Mouse image for her first card, she learned to watercolor (like a pro!), add dimension and "go outside the box". She is a natural, especially for someone who claimed to be "non crafty" in every way. She has Fun Flock on the mice, and MS chunky glitter on the cupper. Margaret does not sew, but neither did I til I met Pat Rose.... so I imagine that is next! Lol! What a great day with the sweetest Newbie ever. This card is for her Sister's bd, and I think it is destined for a frame.
Thanks for stopping by the meet Margaret. I will let you know when she is a resident of SCS! We are working on it- and she is loaded with talent!

Preciousness in her smile and I am sure lots of craftiness in those fingers from what you have said!! What a great "first card" under the tutelage of one of the BEST! You got her doing EVERYTHING - way to go, 'teach'!!
She is beaming from ear to ear - another addict added to the mix - the more, the merrier!! Looks like you guys had a blast!! hugs-LYMI!

Did you tell this lovely new addict there are no 12 steps for us, once your hooked that's it. So glad she had a master like yourself to see beyond all that "I'm not crafty" talk and help her see her gifts. Put another notch on your belt as it sounds like we will soon have an addition for this sisterhood of stamping at SCS we all share.

Maybe "Margaret Stamps" should be her username, Patty! It's got a nice little ring to it.
How fortunate Margaret is to have you for her personal teacher! Looks like she does have the natural talent there to join the rest of us stampin' fools. :-) Her HM card is not only adorable, but beautiful, too!

Wow - she is destined for greatness. My first card looked like it was my first card and this one looks like she has been stamping 25 years. OMG - this is fabulous. If she was stamping with you, I know there is no hope for her now - total submersion with no chance of recovery. That is what happened to me. I just made a few cards here and there and then you found me floundering in stamp land and encouraged me (enabled me in every way possible) into a total freefall! I hope to see her on SCS soon! Tell her welcome to the club.

Sometimes all we need to get started is a little encouragement and a sweet friend with a load of supplies!! Margaret found the best of the best for this purpose and I love your "peoples heart". What a great card for a first. Margaret has incorporated some wonderfully elegant features with some completely adorable ones; the influence of the teacher is plainly seen and appreciated!!
