 | | This clock http://www.bluecarrotshop.com/detail...39&CatID=2 was the inspiration for my card for the HYCCT and Inspiration challenges. I would normally use Scripture verses, but due to the guidelines for the HYCCT challenge I had to find another encouraging quote. I have a book of inspirational quotes that I cut this from. It made me think of the inspiration clock right away with the elements of wood and roses that went so well with the quote. I made a piece of polished stone paper then embossed my roses (actually this step took a lot longer as I experimented with how to actually do the roses...not gold! etc) I had thought I'd put them in the corners as in the clock, but ended up liking them better underneath. I layered over some Early Espresso to which I'd added a wood grain using the Distressed Texturz plate inked with the same ink. I added some gems and gold cord and it was done. I went with a square card as was the clock and I'm really pleased with how it all pulled together in the end! |
