 | | Our Timeless Tuesday Challenge over at Flourishes this week is to use a tree or leaf image NOT FLOWERS. After I got this all finished I realized I kind of did use a flower with the standard rose.
My goal here was to create a warm red and gold toned card. The photo doesn't look as good as the real thing. After I completed the trees I masked them off and spritzed the image panel in a metallic gold spray which doesn't show (looks like muddy taupe!). The die cut corners came out a horrible yellow gold in the photo.
I tried using frisket on the stamped images. I use it often on watercolour paper but on cardstock it peels off a bit of paper fibre. Next time I'd colour after I used the frisket but it sure is easier than cutting out a mask. The velvet rose is hand rolled. |
